Contact your elected official and Ask WHY?

Checks and Balances is the foundation the democracy is built upon, and it is your right and duty to ask, "Why?" in order to weed corruption and hold the government and its officials accountable.

What happened to Richard Chichakli because of government abuse of power, manipulations and circumvention of laws, and the overriding of civil and constitutional rights is not an isolated event, and it will continue to happen eroding democracy and civility if YOU do not exercise your rights and ASK WHY?

The telephone number of the US House of Representative is (202) 224-3121 and the following is a link to the E-mail system of your representative. Use the inquiry text below to save the time writing, and of course I appreciate if you write something of your own and more elaborate:

The Honorable ________

I am one of your constituents who has been following the case of the US citizen and the US Army veteran Richard A. Chichakli who has been denying OFAC's allegations against him, and asking to be tried in a court of law in accordance with the US constitution since more than one and a half year.

I demand to know why OFAC is keeping this matter outside the US court. The determination of guilt or innocence of any American citizen is to be done in the US court, and not by an appointed official or outside the judicial branch. OFAC is not above the US Constitution and I am asking how can we allow this to continue. Take Chichakli to court or remove the unjust action by OFAC.

ZIP+4 is required for the house E-mail system, and the Zip+4 can be found here
