How would this case affect the life of every American?
This is a single case that would forever change the American way of life, and the way the U.S. Government can conduct the daily business with the citizens. This is a case that if went unresolved, it would change the meaning of democracy and due-process, the terms of the constitution of the United States, and grant the government all they need to abuse the power vested in the government by the constitution. Just similar to the so-called "Patriot Act," the act that was signed into law WITHOUT BEING READ by the those who approved it!
For the first time ever in the history of the United States of America, a government body such as the U.S. Dept. of Treasury dares to bypass the court and assume the power of the judicial branch provided by the U.S. Constitution. The US Treasury took upon themselves to be the law, the judge, the jury, and the executioners and they totally disregarded the constitutional due-process, the requirement to provide corroborated evidence, and their duty to produce the "Burden of Proof" before they can act. All they needed is to "Think" that a man is guilty???
Think about the IRS "thinking" that you cheated on your taxes? Using the same measure, if they "think" you cheated they will have the right to take away your home, your life, and destroy your family without court, without even the need of proof.
They used "Internet article" written by a Hollywood fiction movie writer against me, and another article from some 12-year old "Blogger" in England? Both persons claimed in writing that they copied other articles from the internet and they cannot testify to the truth or reality of what they published after being contacted by my attorney? Just think what can your disgruntled employee, or unhappy neighbor do to you if the government can get away with this. All needed to destroy your life is an uncorroborated internet article??? Just think.
What you need to do?
If you agree that the government can jail you, fire you from your job, take your assets, or simply execute you and terminate your life BASED ON hear-say INTERNET STORIES without court or legal system, without evidence, trial, due-process, and constitutional rights. If you agree that they can terminate your Freedom of Speech because you may say something they do not like, just sit still and do nothing until that day when you become the next victim to a Nazi-style totalitarian regime.
Otherwise, write the President and your representatives to voice your opinion and ask them why would they not let Richard Chichakli have his day in court? Why did they not show their evidence and get a conviction within the legal system? What are they afraid of? They are claiming to have "good evidence"!!
Ask your representative why the government would not simply charge Richard Chichakli with a crime? They claimed that they have been working on this case for two and a half years? Just ask how could the government destroy someone's life WITHOUT EVEN CHARGING ONE WITH A CRIME?
Who is going to stand for the US Constitution and the American way of life? Who is going to draw the line over the government abuse of power?
